Answer from Steven, when will the 7-day staking lock-up period be available? The Cornus v2 upgrade has not made it to the mainnet yet. Once it has made it to the mainnet, we'll let everyone know when it triggers. But I don't think it will trigger at Christmas b/c, what if something goes wrong and everyone is on vacation. So I think it will trigger likely after Christmas + New Years when everyone's back from holidays. Just in case 🙂 Always be safe!

As we approach the end of the temporary Buyback and Burn (BBB) that began on Nov 14th for a one month period, it's time to start getting community feedback. The vote that instigated this included a clause that ”after this one month period, Gains Network will return to the current distribution for the community and team to reassess the impact and consider the next steps forward” The feedback from community members, both solicited and unsolicited, shows a lot of support for the burn. And concerns have been raised by some that enforcement of this clause would risk losing momentum and create uncertainty, and therefore more feedback on this point is important, to decide if the new vote should supersede this clause to allow the burn to continue without pause. In either case, there will be a forum post allowing this matter, and all related matters, to be discussed prior to the vote going live. Also want to encourage discussion re: duration for the burn if it were to continue, and an opportunity to make other suggestions.

For a quick recap of where we are today, since July, more than 1,400 community members from over 50 countries have participated in 63 workshops worldwide. These sessions were the backbone of the Constitution’s development, providing diverse perspectives, fostering debates, and refining the draft. Delegates were elected to represent this feedback, ensuring the community's voice shaped the process. Participants tackled complex governance challenges, navigating trade-offs and collaboratively revising the draft.
